High rise apartment, Melbourne CBD

The Location:

Australia 108 is the tallest residence in the Southern Hemisphere. I was lucky enough to furnish and style this beautiful, three-bedroom apartment in Melbourne CBD. This luxurious apartment sits above the golden star on the 74th floor and showcases the most spectacular, panoramic views of the city.

The Brief:

My client and his family live outside the Melbourne metro area. They like to visit the city every couple of weeks for a change of scene and to soak up the fantastic nightlife Melbourne has to offer! When the apartment is not in use, it will be rented out as an Airbnb.

The Process:

The plan was to create a modern home for my client and his family, while remaining somewhat neutral to attract a larger, rental audience. We went for a very simple design using neutral colours and minimal decor. Minor amounts of accent colours were used in each room for character and personality. The furniture sits high on slim legs to allow a sense of airflow, making the apartment feel bigger than it really is. The simple styling prevents distraction to that incredible city view!
