The Location:

My favourite side of the bay…Torquay Melbourne.  

The Brief:

The competition between holiday home rentals is getting hotter and hotter each year. Everyone wants to stay at a memorable sanctuary and show it off on their personal Instagram (providing free marketing to the host). 

This client wanted to give their holiday home a complete revamp so that they could attract more guests at a much higher rate. Being so close to the beach, a coastal/Hamptons inspired style felt appropriate. This design style is easy on the eye, cosy and attractive to a larger audience. 

The Process:

We started from scratch with this one, removing all the old and dated furniture from before. The walls were painted a fresh coat of white to brighten up each space. 

Mood boards were presented to the client showing the furniture and styling for each room before we went ahead and placed orders. Once my client was happy, we ordered all the furniture and decor items online (during a lockdown). 

The project was designed and executed within 2 months – just in time for peak season!
